Gift Boxes Anyone?

Hello and happy Saturday!

I have a couple of little gift boxes I made to share today!

These are what I created to stick my little clay ornaments in to give out to my family on Thanksgiving. I give them out on Thanksgiving, so that everyone can hang them on their tree for this season. I also add a couple of Ghirardelli chocolates in there with them. Yum!

All of the stamps on these are from Purple Onion Designs and all of their stamps are still 25% off!

All of the stamps are from Stacey Yacula's new Holiday release!

Boxes are cut files from the Silhouette store.
Dies: Lil Inkers and Spellbinders.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs and happy weekend!

Purple Onion Designs SALE and Some Cards

Greetings all!

Is everyone out shopping for Black Friday today? Not this girl! No way could you drag me out into all of that to battle the crowds. I'll be happily sitting in my cozy little house doing a little cyber shopping :) Well actually, we're having Thanksgiving at my house today, so between my shopping, I'll be cooking pumpkin pies.

If you are going to do some cyber shopping you might want to head on over to Purple Onion Designs and pick up some of their cuteness! They're having a Sale and all of their stamps are 25% off!

Here are a couple of cards I made using some of their new releases and some oldies but cuties!

Oh gosh I love this little guy!! He is just the sweetest little owl I have ever seen! So fun to color too! All the stamps are from Purple Onion Designs.

And this one was created using the one of the Noteblock stamps. I just love these stamps! I stamped it several times in the different colors and then cut the apart and reassembled them. So fun!

All dies are from Lil Inkers.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

I Love My Paper Smooches!

This is my final post as a guest designer with Paper Smooches... waaaaaaahhh!!

I have so enjoyed working with those cute whimsical little images, and Kim is just the sweetest person ever! Thank you SO much Kim for having me!!

So I have been seeing a lot of black mixed in with Christmas colors this season and I must say I find it fabulous! Now I normally associate white with Christmas, you know, snow and all that sparkly shinny stuff, but I'm just loving the touch of black in there. So I decided to give it a try on this card. I'm super happy with the way it turned out! I hope you like it too!

I used the new set Fresh Snow along with the Quote Tag dies

other supplies: stitched border-Lil Inkers, stitched circle-MFT, other dies-Spellbinders

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Preparing For The Holidays

Yes! Yes! It's that time of year! It's my favorite time of the whole year! I just wish I had more hours in a day to get everything done, and that it didn't zoom by quite so fast. I would love to be able to kick back and enjoy the holidays, but there is sooooo much to do!!

So I haven't been able to do a lot of card making in the past couple of weeks. ( sad) Although I have been enjoying what I'm working on very much!

Since I didn't have a card to share, I thought I would share some of the things I'm working on presently.

I am doing a December Daily album this year. I have done this every year for the past three years and I love it! It's so fun to do and the fam and I LOVE going back and looking at them to see what the previous Christmas's were like. I have always done mine digitally, as I am a digital scrapper from way back. This year I decided that I was going to do it traditionally with paper, stamps and dies. Oh my! I was really overwhelmed when I first started this. I had no idea what to do, or how to do it. I keep thinking the whole time, how much easier this would be if I could just do it on the computer. But... I persevered! I kept playing around with pages and adding paper and finally I think I have my head wrapped around this whole paper scrapping thing. haha! For now, I am just putting the base pages together. I have some alpha and number dies ordered, and I will go back and put the day and date on them with those. When December rolls around, I'll add my pictures for each day and do some journaling. Voila! I'm all done! I'm looking forward to doing this, but I do think I'm going to tackle my Project Life digitally for 2014 :)

Another project I have been working on is getting ornaments made for all of my friends and family. I have been working with polymer clay for almost 20 years now. Years ago before the children came into the picture, I sold them at craft shows and miniature shows around the country. I don't do the shows anymore; and I don't have the time or desire to create mass quantities, but I still love to get my clay out this time of year and create a few for our family and friends.

Okay so that is what I've been up to in my extremely small amount of free time :) Tomorrow is my day to play and I hope to get a few more ornaments made along with some gift bags to put them in.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

More Fun with Paper Smooches!

Greetings!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!

It is time for another peek at some of the things I have created for my guest spot with Paper Smooches this month!

Both of these cards were created with the cute new stamp set called Enjoy The Show along with the matching dies. Oh how I do love matching dies!! ;) I paper pieced both the clown and the elephant and added a small bit of shading with my Copics. I cut them out with their matching dies and popped them up with foam tape.

Other supplies: Stitched dies from Lil' Inkers, paper and ink from Stampin' Up!

Wishing For Winter

Happy Sunday!

I am one of those different people who actually love winter. I am not a fan of hot weather, and that's strange considering I grew up in Florida. Perhaps that's why? Anyway, I love the snow, the cold temperature and even the dreary overcast days. I love to snuggle up in my warm house with hot coffee or tea, a fire burning and make things. That's my favorite :)

So bring on the snow!! haha!! I adore this cute new set from Purple Onion Designs!! So many cute little winter things. I just had to create a little peg board like shelf to hang them on!  I colored them all with Copic markers, cut them out and popped them up on my little wooden hanger thing with foam tape.

This is one of several of the newest stamp sets just released at Purple Onion Designs!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Kay :)

Paper Smooches Calorie Free

Greetings!

It is time for my weekly post for my guest spot at Paper Smooches again! This time I played with the super cute stamp set called Calorie Free. Can't say that I'm a huge sushi eater, but I sure had fun coloring it! haha!

I used Calorie Free for this. I colored the sushi with my Copics and cut it out with the matching die. Layered everything with foam tape.

Next is the adorable tacos from the same set Calorie Free! Oh aren't they cute! Now I do love tacos! I also used the new die set called Quote Tag Dies. They cut out the neat tag shape and the nifty hello.

Stamps used: Calorie Free - Paper Smooches

Purple Onion Designs and CASology Brown

Happy Saturday!!

And it is a happy day indeed, because I get to play some! Yay!

I used that adorable little bird Silver, from Purple Onion Designs,  again on this card. I stamped the snowflake on a circle die cut and mounted my Copic colored cutie patootie on top with foam tape. I then mounted all of that on a big snowflake die cut from Spellbinders, and then again on two more circles. All of that is mounted on a stitched rectangle from Lil Inkers. Then stamped the sweet sentiment which is from Purple Onion Designs as well.

There you have it! :)

I am adding this to the CASology Challenge this week which the theme is "brown". They might throw me out, because as I look at this card right now, I am not so sure that it is CAS?? Do you think it qualifies? Hope it's okay :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

More Purple Onion Designs and Paper Players #170

Hi all!

It's Friday!! Oh am I ever so glad! It's been such a busy couple of weeks for me. I have not had any time at all to make cards this week and I'm starting to go through withdrawal! I hope to spend some time in my crafty heaven tomorrow, after I get some house cleaning done...

Here is a new card I created with the cute cute new Winter Collection by Stacey Yacula at Purple Onion Designs. I used the darling little bird named Silver and perched his cute self up on part of the fence. I cut half of it off because it was just a bit too long for my card :) I colored everything with Copics, cut them out and popped them up with foam tape.

Dies- Lil Inkers scalloped border
Ink-Stampin Up
Paper- GinaK Pure Luxury

I'm adding this to The Paper Players challenge this week which is "wildlife"

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Have a wonderful and creative weekend!

Paper Smooches Group Hugs

Greetings!

This is my first post for my guest spot with Paper Smooches!!

I got to work with a wonderful new stamp set called Group Hugs, which has some really fantastic sentiments, that work so well with lots of different kinds of cards.

I created this card with the cute new set called Enjoy The Show along with the matching dies and Group Hugs. I colored the cute little lion with Copics and popped him up with foam tape.

My next card I created with Group Hugs for the sentiment, Merry Motifs for the snowflakes and Swanky Snowdudes for the little red bird. I colored the little bird with Copics, stamped the snowflakes and cut them all out with the matching dies, then layered everything with foam tape.

I had so much fun working with Paper Smooches fun designs!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week!

Merry Monday #82

Hi All!

I'm playing along with Merry Monday this week and their inspiration is to use red, aqua, white and circles on a card.

Yes, believe it or not, I do have other snowman stamps, but I am just so partial to this cute little egg shaped guy! I just love him!! I first cut out the stitched circle and layered the patterned paper behind it with foam tape. The stamps are from Warm Hearts from Paper Smooches. I colored everything with Copics and popped them out with foam tape. The sentiment is from Christmas Sampler also from Paper Smooches.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs,

Kay :)

For one week only you can purchase the entire collection and save 25%.  This special offer ends on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
This is the card that I created with the adorable Polar Bear and little snowy trees.

I stamped the trees on white cardstock and colored them with my Copics, then used a scalloped die along the bottom edge.
